Hiya! It's Lina.
I'm a believer of "do it all, learn it all". I've worked as a tax preparer, financial analyst, UX engineer, product designer, and co-founded a startup.
Each experience has opened unexpected doors and gave me opportunities to gain new perspectives. Now attending to multiple experiences has become a model for how I like to operate!

Jack of all trades

Art Tinker
I enjoy tinkering with different tools and mediums. On the weekends, I’m a body artist who designs makeover experiences for people who are young-at-heart.
Right: Carving indigenous thrones with fallen trees for the City of Markham, painting silly things for students at the University of Waterloo.

Lifelong Learner
My curiosity led me to explore story-telling and motion designs to not only understand human and micro-interactions better, but also to create delightful and intentional experiences!
Currently, I'm also relearning some of my Bach and Beethoven piano favourites.

My take on...
Learning
Being curious and able to articulate why one thing is better than the other, or how they work.
Fun
Deep conversations, helping others, and doing seemingly illogical things.
Taking risks
An opportunity to test hypotheses, expand my limits, or become closer to those I care about.
Anxiety
An indicator that I'm about to do something worth it, or a fear of potential losing something I care deeply about.
Talking to strangers
A chance to see a different interpretation of the world.
Growth
Incremental progress compounded over time, in a sustainable and realistic manner.
